Larry DeMarco is an attorney with more than three decades' experience representing injured workers. He founded the Law Center, which supports parents representing themselves in child custody cases, and is Executive Manager of the International Council for Men and Boys (ICMB), a non-governmental organisation promoting the wellbeing of men and boys and advancing gender equality. Drawing on his legal and advocacy work, Larry reflects on fatherhood, family, mental health and gender equality. He explores the impact of societal expectations, family breakdown and father absence on children, challenges common assumptions about privilege, and discusses domestic abuse and public perceptions. Larry also shares how society can foster greater understanding, empathy and collaboration between men and women.
